Monkey Business (Falls Church) or JW Tumbles (multiple locations) are good for that age. You can also check with some of the community/recreation centers - they rent party spaces (but you will most likely have to provide your own entertainment).

MyGym (Potomac), Silver Stars (Silver Spring), MusiKids (Bethesda), Gymboree (Bethesda).

A Kidville just opened in Rockville. My sister in Brooklyn recommends them.

Refer to Kidville string.

I'm not the PP but I'm trying to decide if I want to farm out my child's upcoming 3 year old b-day to an "activity zone" place, or if I can handle having it at my house.

Winter bdays with more than five kids should be farmed out...save yourself the grief and give the kids some wiggle room! I had a great party at Silver Stars (I am not sure how old you have to be), best decision EVER!

I'm resurrecting an old thread because I've been researching this topic ....

I'm looking to host my 4 yo's upcoming birthday out of the house BUT cannot find an - how should I put this? - economically reasonable place to host ten preschoolers for two hours. We don't have $400 to spend on this party. Does anyone have a secret birthday locale they'd be willing to share with me that would be appropriate for a 4 yo's party? Really, I was hoping to spend about $200 on the venue (not including cake, plates, etc.).

Thanks!

Try a swimming/pool party at a Fairfax Co. rec center. We managed a 2 hour party room rental, entry fees for kids and accompanying grownups, etc., for about $200 at the Mt. Vernon Rec Center, which has a zero-entry kids pool and water play area. It's more $$ if you're not a county resident, but other counties may offer something similar.

We LOVED The Little GYm in Silver Spring. It was $300 but completely worth it to us. No stress- the first party (out of 6 counting both kids) that we've actually gotten to enjoy.

Playwise in Columbia is great for 2 year olds. We had my son's 3 yr old party there.

I'm not the OP, but this is great info. I live near Mt Vernon Rec. Thanks!
