We are struggling with whether we should choose a different school for our second child. Our kids are almost polar opposites in terms of personality, and one is more into arts while the other seems like a jock (at least as much as one can tell these things at 3).
Our school search for DC#1 was entirely focused on finding the right fit for that child. Despite the fact that our school has a very, very strong sibling admit policy, we are wondering whether it will be the right school for #2. Has anybody else chosen a different school for DC#2? Do you know whether this is common or will be viewed as not being "for real" if we apply to different schools for #2?
Some extended family members who do not live in DC sent four kids to four different schools, but the mom said she never got out of the car all day and wished they had not put so much thought into the process. That probably isn't helping my thinking on this!
