And she’s not as fluent as she claims. I read an article where even Spanish speakers said they noticed something about her. They said when she’d “speak Spanish” it was always in present tense and never in past or future tense. From a language standpoint, that’s a major red flag.

The fact that she appears to speak Spanish at a very basic level is the biggest red flag. If she were even remotely authentic, she'd put a video on Instagram in Spanish. She can't. She speaks like someone who studied for a few years in high school (although her accent is pretty good). Her claim that she occasionally has an accent in English when she has been speaking a lot of Spanish is ludicrous. Given there is nothing on the internet showing her speaking fluently, I doubt she is able to hold a meaningful conversation in the language.

Pretty much every UMC kid, on the East Coast especially, took a few if not annual family trips to Europe. Her doubling down is just digging a deeper hole. My guess is Alec doesn’t quite know the full truth.

First of all, congratulations to all of the internet sleuths on this board who put this story together. It must be great to break news, such as it is.

That said, there is no indication that Hilary Baldwin hurt anyone. It is not like the Varsity Blues case where more deserving candidates were denied admission to the college of their dreams because of fraud.

I think Ms. Baldwin is much more interesting now. She would be great playing herself in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, for example. That would be the best way for her team to handle this issue.

One would have to think that the back story for most celebrities and influencers is manufactured to some extent. There really is not much to see here.

I just don’t get how Alec isn’t part of this - I’ve seen interviews with him saying “my wife is from Spain” and playfully mocking her accent. But in her video she said she told him she was born in Boston. Just doesn’t make sense.

You REALLY think she told him I’m a con obsessed with Spanish culture after only a few family trips? Doubt it. She probably led him on with vague fabricated details of entire summers, exchange programs and maybe even years of k-12 school over there.
