Has anyone noticed a problem in the measurement markings on the Born Free bottles? I measured out 4 ounces in my glass pyrex measuring cup and it only measured 31/2 in the Born Free. It was the same with 8oz. It only measured 71/2.
I'm really not sure how much water to use when measuring out formula in these bottles. |
I never trust the measurement markings on bottles or breastmilk storage bags. If you're concerned about exact amounts, I would measure it in a measuring cup first.
urgh - great, something else to worry about. I think this was the one thing I just took for granted.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. The feeding guidelines for babies aren't accurate to the 1/2 oz. It's annoying, but don't let it get to you.
But over the course of a day, that can add up to good amount
We use a small kitchen scale to measure the water- the scoop is the scoop- I hope they don't mess that up- but the scale is very accurate of course.. hth
FYI-- I just checked this with the born free sippy cup and it was OK.... what if you try a measuring cup where you fill to the top to get 4 oz. Same result?
The baby will just take a bit more formula if there is a little bit less water in it. The baby will balance it all out.
