Why Hasn't Anyone Been Able/Allowed to Interview Palin?

Anonymous
Is it they are debriefing her on what she should know? Is it she doesn't know her stuff or she can't handle the press? What is going on?

She has no grasp of the issues. Even her scripted remarks are full of falsehoods. She would get eaten alive in a full-fledged press conference.

Apparently, she went off script yesterday and immediately blundered. She said Fannie and Freddie Mac are being taken over because they've become too expensive to taxpayers. In fact, the corporations are privately owned and taxpayers didn't spend anything on them. The takeover -- which McCain supports -- will on the other hand, cost taxpayers millions.

Whoah! That's pretty dim-witted! Where did you see that?

her answers haven't been scripted for her yet...

Sorry to digress...

Jeff, do you sleep? How do you manage to know everything? You're like my election wikipedia (always up-to-date and accurate a vast majority of the time).

You won't see her until they are done coaching her. From what I've heard it kind of reminds me of "My Fair Lady", but instead of teaching her how to speak, they are trying to teach her the party line and give her some factoids that she can't mess up too badly.

Hasn't she scheduled an interview with ABC this week? Didn't she go back to Alaska for 3 days to deal with 1) Gov. responsibilities she didn't know she was walking out on a week ago and 2) her son being deployed to Iraq on Thursday. She just showed up 10 days ago - patience!

McCain would have done better selecting someone from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to run as his VP. They govern twice the population of the state of Alaska. Yes, TWICE. And they have more real experience with Washington politics and what is going on in the world.

I am scared if Palin and McCain win.

Oh, that's right! She gets time out to do those things now. I forgot she is special. Ten while days, huh? Wow. Of course she needs more time to LEARN WHAT A VP DOES, Where Iraq is and what her stance is on policies. DUH.

Who can sleep with the possibility of a Palin/McCain ticket winning the White House?

The story about her Fannie/Freddie gaffe is here:

Just as long as he can cite his articles and aren't mixed with opinion.

Are you seriously suggesting that it is special treatment to allow her to say goodbye to her son? Really? Have you noticed that all the postings in this forum are about McCain/Palin? What happened to the positive Democrat message?

Even McCain looked a little befuddled after Palin's comment, just before he started clapping. Good thing it's on tape. So she's more clueless than I thought.

Yes, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what she could possibly have meant by that. The only interpretation I can come up with is that she is mistaken about how these institutions operate. But we won't know what she really meant until they let someone interview her! We can only hope that the one person allowed to interview her addresses this issue!
