Viral Internet story says, Mitt Romney helped locate the missing teenage daughter of a partner at Bain Capital.

A number of readers recently have asked us to fact-check a story about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The story, currently circulating on email, Facebook, and blogs, says that Romney helped a colleague of his at Bain Capital locate his missing teenage daughter.

Yeah this totally invalidates the "tied a dog to my roof" thing.

OK. He's a good boss for getting involved and they got the story on the news, which broke the case.

But what on earth is this "command center" and what were they doing beyond what any parent would do???

It shows he's there for his rich cronies. The rest of the public is on their own!

I think people are struggling to find something inspiring about the man. He's surely competent in certain things, but he's hard to like. Even in the Republican primaries he was only drawing 30% of the vote, so this isn't a liberal thing. Anyway maybe the good deed will soften his image, but I don't think the "command center" is going to qualify him for the position.

Oh please, that story is clearly unbelievable. The druggie daughters of rich bankers don't carry their babies to term. They go away on a study abroad and come back un-pregnant, somehow.

Simple curiosity. I just wanted see how many replies this posting would generate trashing "mittens."

My guess was 3 or 4 anti-Romney postings. Instead I got 7. I loved the one about Morman underwear.

Sadly the lack of sympathetic posts from our conservatives speaks volumes about Romneys essential problem.
