Strawberries + chocolate cake pops = ??

DS is has talked me into making cake pops (promising to "help" for more than 5 minutes as i expect they're goign to be tedious!)

i have some strawberries that are a day past prime, I was thinking of dicing them up and adding them in the 'add frosting to the smushed cake' step

Is this goign to be a disaster? If the strawberries are too juicy I could see the cake being to wet to form & stay on the stick, so i made the cake on the dry side ...
