What do you like about it?
Do kids play outside? Ride their bikes? Is it a friendly neighborhood or do people stick to themselves?
Also, what is the middle school there like?

Haha - I will let you know in a few months - we are moving there next week! Well not the WW neighborhood exactly - but just up the road and in the WW ES boundary. The whole vicinity seems very family friendly to us. Our kids are almost 3yo and 8mos - if you move there and have a kid(s) around those ages, we should meet up and go exploring! GL

If you don't mind, what is that neighborhood called? Is that north of Waynewood on the parkway? Our kids are older than yours (9&7) but we could still be friends one day!

PP here - not at all. It's a small subdiv. called Oakbrooke immediately north of the intersection of Ft. Hunt and Collingwood Rd. Neglected to mention in my prior post that friends of ours live right in WW and love it - say it's an awesome family neighborhood.

Re Carl Sanberg, if you haven't already done so, there are discussions about it in the VA Public Schools forum here that you can review that might be helpful - mixed opinions - kind of what you would expect for a school that serves a diverse student body. Not much from people who have actually had kids go there though, so I take a lot of it with a grain of salt. GL!
