I'll put it this way, Obama or no Obama, I would not be surprised if someday we see tanks in the street. If the top 1% get greedier and greedier and the governmental safety net is dismantled, all bets are off.

Where are the rebels getting the tanks from, exactly? Or do you mean they'll have to call out the tanks to quell the riots? Because that's well plausible.

Frankly, "conservative" commenters elsewhere on the net are making my eyes bleed with their claims of Obama-led class warfare. "80% of Americans pay 0% income taxes!" is one of their indignant battle cries. So? What amount should someone making $30,000 a year pay - someone who works for each and every penny of that money - vs. someone who makes that in a day by mooching off from other peoples' money? How the super wealthy can sit on vast piles of money scolding the rest of us peons that they worked for their money and they should pay less than 13% taxes. How much do you need? Whereas most of us have to triage: dentist? Fix the leak? New shoes for kiddo? It's sickening.

No, I meant the US government firing on its own people, which has happened in the past. Do you think the Koch brothers would put up with a million people marching on the Capital or outside their residence near Central Park?

I think it's possible for most people to disagree with Obama and not be racist but when 17% of people in a poll say that Obama is a Muslim, well, there is something more going on there with a certain group of people than just a normal political disagreement.
