I love Iron Bridge Wine Company in Columbia/Ellicott City on 108. Very nice ambiance, good food, great wine. LeeLynn's is also good. They have excellent sangria.

I also love Victoria Gastropub in Columbia. the lobster grilled cheese is ridiculously delicious and they have fun beer flight options, and the ambiance is nice.

Leelyn's is good, but sort casual for a birthday dinner. I've heard good things about Iron Bridge, but never been.

The Black Olive in Fell's Point is good, especially if you like fish.
