Favorite Bethesda restaurant with grandma and toddler? (and alcohol)

Headed into Bethesda tonight with my MIL from out of town (very cool and laid back), DH and our 16-month-old. Recs for a dinner place that would make everyone happy? Bonus points if we can sit outside.

Freddy's Lobster

Rio Grande is the most obviously choice. Redwood is another option and there is outdoor seating, but I have not loved the food lately. Friends have said that Assiago is very family friendly. Mon Ami Gabi also has outdoor seating. There is also Cafe Delux and American Tap room -- limited outdoor seating and (in my opinion) sub par food.

Love Mon Ami Gabi! Redwood definitely has great outside seating and I always see kids there. Good wine choices there too.

Where did you get that?

I've been out to dinner with just my toddler and my 90-year-old Grandma. I definitely needed an alcoholic beverage!!

A perk of living within walking distance of Metro: no drawing straws to be the driver.

What about that mussels place? It has some outside seating, nice booze and discovering mussels and my love of them is one of my earliest, toddler, memories: tasty and food you can play with!

I like cafe deluxe, friendly, nice seating outside, the food is good, and they have alcohol.
