Akin has refused to drop out. And the deadline has passed for anyone else to be entered on the ballot in his place.
The GOP vowed not to spend a dime on his campaign after his horrible comment. But now with no alternate and the Senate in the balance, what will win outt: their integrity, or their ambition? Your votes below... |
The GOP doesn't have to spend a cent. They'll let their SuperPACs do it for them. Without coordinating, of course.

I'm sure the Koch brothers share his views. |
their integrity? are you joking? the only reason they came out so hard against Akin is because a) they are worried about the election and are trying to get control of the senate/ insure that Romney wins Missouri and b) they realize Akin is a loose cannon and they see this as an opportunity to get him out of the way and get a better candidate in there. If the stakes were not so high, no way would you see so many people distancing themselves from his comments, sadly many members of his party share those beliefs but simply know better than to say them out loud. Akin can still technically withdraw until 9/25, how much do you want to bet he is holding out waiting for the GOP big guns to offer him something sweet in exchange? A lobbying gig, think tank (ha!) position, something. He has them over a barrel right now. |
Wow even the wingnut won't defend his party. |
