You know on this show they were going to actually show it, though. It's not a show that pulls its punches.

I feel so terrible for Kai. I actually thought Paula might commit suicide, for a couple of minutes. But I guess the show is about how people mostly maintain the status quo, whether it's Paula with her awful friend, or Rachel with her ghastly husband. It's hard to truly take a stand--the borg (ie. white patriarchal supremacy) will assimilate you.

I agree that this was the weakest episode. I felt let down by all the story endings. Well maybe except Quinn. It just felt like all these odd and interesting and cringey interactions happened all season, and then at the end all those people were suddenly just “normal”. I love anthology series, but it almost makes me want season 2 to continue with these storylines. Or maybe we just need one more episode. I don’t know, loved the series but very disappointed in the ending.

I loved the final episode (and I’m rarely satisfied by season endings).

I agree! Rachel choose miserable and rich over miserable and struggling which is exactly what we all would do but would like to think we wouldn't (or don't

Because she was always going to. She had nothing else. She is going to become the mopier Molly Shannon.

How big was that tip Belinda received?

That's another thing, I was hoping we'd see Belinda off somewhere doing something great, living her best life. But instead you see her (along with the pregnant woman from the first episode, btw) waving from the shore greeting the new set of guests. There were all these small and intersting nuances that went nowhere.

It looked like at least a few hundred dollars, so not nothing. Just a shame she got her hopes up.

I think it was a lot fatter than that.

Way more! That looked like a LOT of money. LOL that Tanya handed her that envelope just after saying she didn't want transactional relationships anymore.

I thought it was enough to start her business as a strings free gift, without Coolidge character involved as a backer. I thought it was thousands and I got stressed about her throwing it in a drawer and figured it was going to be stolen.

Agree, it was definitely fat. I'd say a lot of thousands.

But isn’t that the point of the show? The cycle of exploitation continues. The rich people just continue on their merry ways. Shane leaves the resort with a handshake after stabbing the manager. Paula leaves Kai to face whatever his fate is. Jennifer Coolidge leaves Belinda after getting her hopes up. Etc etc.

Whose ending made you happy/ambivalent/sad?

They basically all made me ambivalent except for Armand.

I think Tanya was a little better than she came, and I hope BLM guy survives long enough to enjoy Aspen.

At least Belinda got that envelope of cash and stood up for herself

The son certainly found himself but is he going to sleep on that beach from now on? What about hurricane season? I feel like he's going to be ok, anyway

I thought the Mossbachers all came out a little better than they'd gone in, and Olivia was actually pretty good to Paula, who certainly came out worse than she'd gone in

Rachel ended up exactly where she'd end up
