The tax fraud is not that big of a deal. He will simply move to another country as not paying your US taxes is only a crime in the US. |
It not that big of a deal...unless you draw attention to your tax fraud and call half the nation "human scum." |
OMG he is still screaming about winning the election. |
I'd be happy if he left the countyr never to return. |
That is not true. Even to limit your silly argument, he would need to renounce his US citizenship for a bona fide, non-tax purpose. But then, he would be subject to the tax laws of his new country AND would remain on the hook for the crimes he committed in the US beforehand. |
Where? |
In his statement about his SCOTUS loss. Which he totally didn’t write. |
Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing, it seems like his style. https://nypost.com/2021/02/22/trump-blasts-supreme-court-dems-on-tax-return-ruling/ |
My favorite is the line about headhunters using the law against their political enemies. |
Yeah, “lock her up” says hi. |
Good luck fleeing when he has a full time detail of federal law enforcement around him at all times. And if he happened to get away, there’s always extradition. |
We've already had the organic-prison-food-eating shaman. I wonder if Trump gets put into an orange jumpsuit, and then his lawyers insist that it's important for his mental health to keep the toupee and the fake tan. Can you imagine what he looks like under all that gloop? |
So are most of the elected Republicans who swore fealty to the United States. |
Ditto. Would limit his influence on American politics moving forward. "Your favorite America loving president, calling in from my new home on the Red Sea...." |
That wouldn't erase his past tax crimes, so he'd have to move to a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S., and would never be able to return to U.S. soil. |
