Do rich men really desire skinny women?

NP - ITA. I posted a similar comment on the "thicc" thread.

Of all of my kids’ friends, some have a little extra weight (by my standard), but nobody is probably overweight (by American standards). I do see plenty of tall blond skinny moms (more than what I see in my wealthy NW neighborhood.
I am not tall (unfortunately), but I am both thin and fit. I am of Mediterranean descent so I tend to put weight on my butt and legs. My husband wishes I were a little rounder (loved my pregnant body), but I don’t like it and (at 38) I prefer to look elegant instead of hot. I would look like the girl in the picture if I gained 20+ lbs.

The girl in the pic has photoshop done to shrink her waist line, if she is so desirable and the new standard of beauty, why the need for air brush...

Because all the influencers heavily edit their pics, even when they're paying us lip service about loving yourself (see NYT link below).

The woman in the photo is Addison Rae. She has 80M TikTok followers and has spoken frequently about not having the traditionally "attractive" body type.

If you have teenagers, ask them about her.

Who cares what teenagers think? The topic was "do rich men really desire skinny women". Teenagers aren't rich nor men. Addison whoever is not the standard of beauty for this group no matter how hard some people are trying to push her. She has terrible tree trunk legs and an asymmetrical shape made worse by whatever editing she's doing to her pics. Next.

I was simply responding to PP who asked about body types and Photoshop, not making a statement about what men do or do not desire.

Some of you seem to be taking this discussion very personally and it's odd.

That said, I'd still say Addison Rae is closer to the ideal than Carolyn Bessette - a weird reference given she hasn't been alive for over 20 years and looked like she was 50 when she was 33.

Yeah, this is what women like to tell themselves men want.

Men and women usually are so wrong about one another.

women cannot make big decisions based on what men want, or she will have to be a business executive making 600k a year and raising 4 kids by herself, while maintaining Candace swanepole body and placing the mans needs before her.

So many threads on this forum I won’t even start.

Ehh...I don’t think women maintain their weight like that to please their husbands. They do it because you have to be thin in order for expensive clothing to look flattering, and they want to wear expensive clothing.
Men do like women who are well put together, so maybe that goes hand in hand, but I really think it’s more about fashion and less about sex.

There have been plenty studies. Females prefer/idiolize skinny, men prefer healthy/fit with high waist to hip ration. But above all they prefer young.

I’ll take this.

Perhaps. But they look very good in couture.
Which is more important?

I don’t know. I think you might slide right off of her. She looks like she is covered in crisco.

In the Caucasian culture, yes, thin is preferred. In many other cultures a bit of "heft" is preferred in women.

Consider that in your dating choices if you are on the heavier side as a woman.

Even that is changing in white culture. The Kardashians have been the standard of beauty for the past ten years or so.

IMO Addison Rae is probably the sex symbol for young white men, and she's definitely not skinny. Not overweight either- probably in the "normal" BMI category, or a bit thicc.

Her body is about what I see young men really losing it over and "simping" for. I came up in the early 2000s when it was all about being very thin. I think all those girls now would not fit the beauty ideal. Now it's all about being "thicc" or "slim thicc" and having some "meat on your bones".

This is fake she is very fat with legs like hippo , she must stand that way to look half presentable to hide hipoo thighs

When can we see a thread on DCUM started by a man asking whether rich women prefer ripped men? The thread that has pictures of men in speedos and where men tear each other apart based on how they look. I would love to live long enough to see it.
