Is giving your daughters boys' names except spelled differently what feminists do? Darn it, I knew I should have read through my feminist contract more carefully before I signed.

My in-laws have had a beagle in their home since my husband was a little boy. He named the first one Snoopy. When Snoopy got old and died, they eventually got another, and named him... Snoopy II, and continued the trend. When Snoopy III met an unfortunate and devastating end at the hands of a car, they decided to adopt two beagles at the same time, and named them Snoopy IV and Snoopy V.

.

This reminds me of the King of Queens episode where Doug was shocked to find out his parents' dog Rocky was really Rocky V and had been switched out 5 times over 30 years and that it wasn't the same Rocky he had as a child, lol, the parents pretended it was the same dog-

My husband taught:
Sedan DaVille (I PROMISE I am not making that up)

Precious & Miranda (my 2nd cousins - both by the same father)

Ransom Fox (schoolmate of my kid - somehow I think this is kinda cool though

I've also know folks named: Dorcas, Hayes, Hill (short of Hilliard - apparently a family name), and Gay (great aunt)

DD's middle name is Autumn - I guess that's kinda strange too But I love it.

If the mom is reading this board, we (your co-workers) love the names -- they are good names, and years from now people won't make the connection -- but we all thought it was a bit of a strange choice initially. We still love you though
