One of my co-worker went to law school later, and is now 34 going on 35, and says she can't even think of having kids due to high private loans for herself and her husband. We are federal government attorneys.

Not to beat you up too much, and children are certainly more important than anything else in this world but--- yes, I do think it is irresponsible to have two kids (not just one, even), without being able to bear the expenses.

Your co-worker that cannot afford kids. They have other reasons for not having kids. Money is just one of the reasons they give nosey people

the original post is not fake. there are thousands of young law grads like her. But money is NOT a reason to not have kids.

Of course money is a reason not to have kids. Her poor kids have completely freaked out parents who might get the lights turned off.

I always hear those commercials and think it would be great to make a ton of cash very quickly...but it's that bio child thing I can't get over! Just like being a surrogate can make you six figures but totally not worth it. Not only physically hard, emotionally I'd be a hot mess!
