Don't know but the GOP has done nothing good for Texas. Texas is as effed as the rest of us right now.

I looked up a couple of these, and the incumbents are R. I don't understand why they're considered targets, except the incumbents are retiring.

Exactly. It’s not really going on offense to say “Hey these are the seats we really need to keep!”

because the polling suggests these seats are vulnerable for a flip.

This will go to a runoff. The more runoffs Republicans have the better chance Democrats have of flipping the seats.

YES you are correct, on both points.

The Democrat in Texas’s 23rd doesn’t have a runoff, and 3,000 more Democrats than Republicans voted in this district.

Tony Gonzales has withdrawn from the race. The Republicans were successful in getting him to job his bid for reelection. No runoff

This is now the Republican candidate - this MAGA influencer calls the district “deep red” when it’s only R+7 and a lot of those Rs are Latinos who voted for Trump in 2024 but hate his guts now.

Who is the Dem opponent and what’s his/her background, if you know?

Yes please. Mom, teacher, lawyer seems like an excellent combination for a representative.

Interesting that the article doesn't mention the GOP candidate's videos making light of the Nazis liquidating Jewish ghettos and talking about his copy of Mein Kampf. He claims it's all a joke, of course.

The Post is covering this too. Nightmare.

Trump was so mad that Rep. Jeff Hurd (R-CO) in Lauren Boebert’s old district said something not complimentary about his tariffs that he called for him to be primaried. Now he’s taking that back and committing a crime by offering administration jobs to Hurd’s opponent in the GOP primary, and her husband, so she’ll drop out and Hurd can still win. Trump +10 district.

Explain how this doesn't end with troops on the ground and years of occupation.

The whole reason for starting this was because they were supposedly developing nukes. If you don't neutralize the nuke building, then all of this is worthless. That means you need to seize all of their uranium, which obviously requires troops.

If you leave any remaining uranium, there is significant risk an even more hardened regime takes over. All they've learned is that you 10000% need a nuke to prevent your country from being invaded by US and Israel.

It's seizing the uranium or nothing but a complete failure.

It's astounding that the Republicans even get 40%.

If this gets to +14 or so for the Dems, the senate will be at risk for the GOP.
