Male. Govt/history/politics/IR-related. In-state VA. Doesn't qualify for any aid. Willing to pay if a distinct advantage over other options.

Go to Princeton if admitted. No reason to choose GW if in at Georgetown. BC and Pomona are a bit far afield if interested in DC options.

I'd choose William and Mary or UVA unless Georgetown price is similar. If it is, Georgetown might be best.

Georgetown would be full pay. UVA and WM would be full pay in-state. Unfortunately, we don't qualify for $$$ anywhere.

W&M or UVA then.

Wow. Which College at Cambridge? I think I'd lean that way but the college is relevant. I would not consider Cornell if you have the other two options.

Big list with some good options, but what do they want and cost factors?

Cost is not a factor
Looking for artsy school to prepare for law school

Then Wesleyan would be the best bet.

Oh, there's an interesting choice. Cambridge, of course. Such a unique experience.

Swarthmore or William and Mary assuming in state. Not Wesleyan.

Why not Wesleyan ? My preference is for the two you mention but kid may be,leaning toward other two. Doesn't care about size, open to either, but definitely interested in grad school which is why three of four finalists are LAC.

And yes, instate.

Emerson College
SUNY Purchase College
Fordham University
Muhlenberg College
Drew University
VCU (in-state for us but finances not a factor)
Elon University
Belmont University

Child interested in communications and media studies, possible voice/music minor, languages, creative or performing arts. Decided not to pursue BFA (has musical theater background) and more interested in liberal arts with opportunities for music and performing. Prefers city environment but found other campuses appealing. Pretty artsy, independent thinker. Has math learning disability but otherwise strong academic profile (especially language arts).

Emerson seems like it should be the obvious one, but for some reason I read your post and got strong Muhlenberg vibes.

Those two are definitely top contenders, each with their own appeal.

Good liberal arts generalist. Wants Environmental biology/ecology + humanities. Plans on grad school. Makes art, writes poetry, rarely shares these things. Square peg. ADHD. Introverted, with a goofy, theater kid vibe when comfortable.

Kenyon at mid-60s annual coa.
St. Olaf at mid-40s coa
Wooster at mid-30s coa
Hendrix at 30-ish coa
Beloit at 30-ish coa.

Gotta visit - too many good choices (don't overlook WM, it's a strong contender)

WM or UVA. Georgetown is top-notch for IR, but $$ and the differential with WM/UVA would be too small for me. Pomona is a great school overall, but also $$ and in IR wouldn't be notably better than in-state. Congrats to your DS.

Beloit, where I wish my kid had applied. Otherwise, Wooster.

Here's mine, for English major, focus on creative writing, also interested in fine arts.

Wooster
Allegheny
Washington College
Ursinus
Saint Mary's College of MD

All of these seem like potential great fits, but for some reason Wooster is jumping out at me.
