We have been thinking about joining our local CSA, but I'm curious about the seasons. Yes, it sounds wonderful in late August, but what about December/January?
At that point in the year do you get a bunch of rhubarb and leeks or something? Is it worth it all year long? I'm not a great cook but can work with the basics Thanks! |
| Only a few csas run in winter. Most have a spring-fall season. Whatever one you join (assuming its not the 1st year) should be able to provide you a list of what the shares were week to week the prior year. That should give you some idea of what to expect. |
| Almost all CSAs are June to October or thereabouts. If yours is year-round I'd love to know which one it is! |
