Question Regarding CSA

Anonymous
We have been thinking about joining our local CSA, but I'm curious about the seasons. Yes, it sounds wonderful in late August, but what about December/January?
At that point in the year do you get a bunch of rhubarb and leeks or something? Is it worth it all year long? I'm not a great cook but can work with the basics
Thanks!

Only a few csas run in winter. Most have a spring-fall season. Whatever one you join (assuming its not the 1st year) should be able to provide you a list of what the shares were week to week the prior year. That should give you some idea of what to expect.

Almost all CSAs are June to October or thereabouts. If yours is year-round I'd love to know which one it is!
