I have heard big things about Robert Frost middle school AAP prgram. Some moms say when the kid is in sixth grade sometimes you receive a letter from FCPS saying he/she is eligible to go to Frost middle school. This happens if the kid is at top level of AAP. I could not find any online information about this. they also said that the parent is needed to drop and pick up the kid if they are from dome other AAP base school. Does anybody know anything on this?

Frost Middle School is an AAP Center in FCPS. All AAP Centers follow the same rules -- students follow the standard procedure for consideration for Level IV AAP placement and transportation is provided. There are no special rules for Frost Middle School.

Info on Level IV AAP consideration is online:
http://www.fcps.edu/is/aap/gradelevel/ms.shtml

Students that are found AAP Center eligible are able to attend an AAP Center from 3rd through 8th grade. So, as an example, when a kid is in sixth grade and is in an AAP Center (not necessarily just Local Level IV and placed in the class by the school principal), the sixth grade AAP eligible student can go to the assigned AAP Center for middle school.

If your student is in a Local Level IV program and was placed there by the principal (and therefore your student does NOT have AAP Center eligibility), you can refer your child for AAP Center consideration in February (referrals due February 8, 2013), as outlined on the FCPS website:
