At 9 a.m. Wednesday, Floyd Corkins II left his parents' house in the Kingston Chase neighborhood of Herndon.
Two hours later, the Herndon resident allegedly shot a security guard in the lobby of the Family Research Council near 8th and G streets in Washington D.C., carrying a bag with 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches and extra ammunition for his 9mm handgun.

An FBI affadavit released Thursday sheds more light on the why Corkins may have allegedly targeted the Christian conservative policy organization's offices and shot the security guard, Leonardo Johnson, as he was confronted about entering the building.
