My turn to pick a lunch spot for our monthly 'ladies who lunch' outing. We're all working women, mid-late-30s, and the Front Page/Kramer's is typical of where we end up. I'd like to pick somewhere walkign distance to one of htose red line stops, mid-range cost wise, but not a chain/something interesting
suggestions? |
| Casa Nonna. |
|
Casa Nonna is closed.
Tabard Inn is a great choice for lunch. A little nicer than Front Page though! Is Levante's still open right off Dupont? That's a nice spot (or was!) |
|
The Dupont South entrance is closed, so stuff on that side of the circle is often closer to Farragut North anyway.
Tabard is great. So is Firefly for lunch. |
|
That's right, we're lookign to be near the north dupont exit or Farragut North - lookign to be able to transition quickly into catching up & not spend too much time walkign
Thanks! |
| Circle Bistro is right by the north Dupont Circle entrance and Bistro du Coin further up on Conn. Ave. By Farragut North, Paul just openned at K and Connecticut: http://www.paul-usa.com/ But it may be hard to get a table for a large group there. |

What about Sette Osteria?

Pizza Paradiso
Scion Floriana on 17th Street is really nice |
Wow, I had no idea. That was quick. |
One word: overpriced. Also, I don't think it ever shook the ghost of the California Pizza Kitchen that was in that spot for years. People just didn't want to pay $40 for high-flying Italian in an old CPK. |
| +1 Firefly |
| Kababji, across from the Dupont South entrance (by the cupcake place). Good Middle Eastern food, lots of meat and vegetarian options. |

Is the Iron Gate Inn open again yet?
It was closed for a long time, but was supposed to reopen in August. Beautiful patio outside if it's not too hot. |
