Could it be??

I've had nausea and diarrhea yesterday and today, and now tonight, I'm having light contractions. They aren't regularly timed - just regular in coming at random intervals. I'm 37 weeks. Early labor? Just Braxton Hicks?

Yes?

Probably prodromal labor. Doesn't necessarily mean you'll go into labor today or tomorrow though. I had 3 full days of this (contractions would be regular for an hour or so, then die off) and then I went into labor on the fourth day. But I was at 40 weeks.

Good luck!

Either way, you should stay hydrated. You need to replace the fluids lost from the diarrhea and staying hydrated can remedy false contractions, if that's what they are. Otherwise, good luck and congratulations on making it to 37 weeks.

+1. I went to the hospital after a few days of this and was only 1 cm. dilated-- they wanted to give me Pitocin, so I went home. But it can be hard to be patient and not overthink it when this is happening! Good luck, OP.

If you are nausious, ask your dr to check for pre-eclampsia.

I did this for at least 2 weeks with my first....drink more water. I hate drinking water so I had more than most. the thought of drinking 8 glasses of water a day makes me feel nauseous.
