| Websites claim to have the actual recipe from Chipotle Mexican Grill and it calls for dried ancho chilies. I haven't been able to find these. Anyone know where to get them or have a different awesome chipotle chicken recipe? |
| I think I have gotten ancho chiles at Whole Foods before. If you don't need to make the recipe immediately I'd order some online from Penzey's or the Spice House. |

Here's the recipe I see a lot.

| Now if someone could just identify the secret formula for Coke |
| I gave up soda for good. But I feel it a mission in life to replicate Chiople's chicken. Anyone else? |

You should be able to find dried ancho chilies at any international market. I've bought them at Global Food grocery store.

I don't know of such a place in/around Tysons, but I'll google it. Thanks! |
| Pretty sure I bought mine in the international aisle at Shopper's. |
How is it packaged? I haven't been able to find it in Giant. But I haven't asked for it either. |
| GT Safeway has them. You could use fresh....why waste the time? Or you can buy powder and skip the rehydration. I think you should add little alcohol...like tequila about 2-3 tablespoons. It will mix the spices better. |
| It's probably in the latin food section in hanging plastic bags. Usually there will be a small section of spices in little bags. World Market might be worth calling too if that's convenient. |
