Recommendations for RE for IUI in northern va (not dc)

Hi all! I live in Leesburg and work in the fairfax/Reston area and am looking for a new RE that takes United Healthcare. My old RE stopped taking it and after two failed IUIs on Tamoxifen I need to go somewhere that takes insurance as that it looks like injectables are next on the iui list. I would like an RE with good success with iui vs trying to push you towards IVF. I'm 31, no kids, regular cycles, etc. my old RE listed me as about a 2 on the problem scale of 10, so not bad, thus why I feel iui is still my next step.
I also am hetero for factor 5 Leiden blood disorder. Any suggestions would be great.... Shady grove? Dr Marci cook? Dominion Fert? Etc? Specific docs please and why. I'm setting up some consult appointments. Thank you!!! |

Hi, I'm 30, regular cycle, and in Leesburg  I'll start IUI this cycle at SG with Dr.Khan. This will be the first time at SG. My insurance is Aetna. Let's hope it works!!
p.s. I have 16 mo girl that conceived through IUI first tried(06/2010) at The Muasher Center, I didn't go back this time around because Dr. Muasher is retired and it is too far for me(i used to live in Fairfax). |

| Let me know what you think of Dr. khan! I looked up your previous doc earlier and it didn't mention he had retired... But maybe I missed it! I know SG takes united, just only know people who have gone through the Annandale office. Do you know if they feel that an iui is best on the weekend if they will send you to Annandale since Leesburg doesn't have weekend hours listed? |

United Healthcare might be an issue...
I don't think Dominion takes it... I would suggest Dominion in a heartbeat...I loved them and had success... Dr. G... I commuted from Reston to Arlington every day for 2 IUIs and 3 IVFs...would do it in a heartbeat, again to be cared for by Dr. G. |

| Dr. Marci Krop Cook in Reston. private practice. She and her staff are wonderful. excellent bedside manner and very responsive. She herself will sometimes call you back. |

| Ever have an issue of her being out of town and not being able to do a cycle? That's my big concern with a solo practice. Bc I ran into that with my current RE. |
