Listening to show since Danni left, I think there has been an improvement for sure. A 3 person team is definitely better than four especially when you have a large, overbearing personality such as Danni's that insists on always being right even when she was clearly wrong.

The show ranked 3rd (at least in ages 6+) numbers for the month of February and Danni was missing half the month. One could argue that they actually increased listenership during that time due to the fact people were tuning in more to see if Danni was even mentioned. I guess it is too early to tell if there is any long term effect.

I am not sure Rose is the right 3rd person. I liked her a lot more when she was a temporary 3rd person such as when Danni did her treehouse excursion last summer. In this instance, since it appears to be more of a permanent thing, she has quickly developed tendencies that can get annoying as she often enters a kid-like "tell me more" role. I understand that is what the producers may want her to fulfill, but I am not sure it is suitable for the audience.

Overall, I think the show has gotten stale as I think I mentioned in one of the previous threads that I think syndication has forced it to become that way. The spontaneity that Kane/Sarah/Samy crew had would no longer occur even if Samy and Sarah were to return as the syndication requirements force the show to meet a broader age range and focus on less controversial issues.

For example, in the past, John had done his St. Panties Day photo thing online encouraging listeners to send photos of their green underwear. I remember last year they had just signed on to the station in Concord, New Hampshire and there were lots of complaints about that. This year, they never even brought it up. I don't know if that had any thing to do with it, but it is very possible.

And if you remember back in 2007 (I think) when Miley Cyrus was still doing concerts as Hannah Montana and that tour was so huge, they rented out a hotel room and stuck 5 listeners in the room with live camera and each day would have different activities live on air and would vote someone off via a facebook vote. Not that this awesome, spontaneous radio, but it was truly funny to hear the contestants talk crap on one another like Big Brother.

A contest, as simple as this, would probably never be done today because they really avoid being DC-centric as much as possible. They were endlessly apologizing the other day for having to talk about the DC Metro train problems as much as they did.

So I think their hands are slightly tied although they could try to freshen up material, change bits, and put some on hiatus. I guess Roses is clearly a fan favorite or they would have done away with it already.

It was funny listening to Sarah's podcast the other day they were at DC United and were interviewing some of the players, and one of the guys was like I remember you and Samy from 99.5. Sarah was like oh really, did you like us on that show, and the player was like yea I loved War of the Roses. Sarah seemed to quickly move on to another subject after that.

And in regards to that posting on Natasha's blog from "Danielle". I find it hard to believe that this would be Danni because she tends to only post to her own social media in order to get those same 50 or 100 responses of how great she is from her followers. Posting to Natasha's blog, she doesn't get that morale boost.

If she was to post a message to Natasha, I think Danni would post it on her own facebook with a "Open Message To Natasha" type of thing, and then her followers could tell her what a great person she is for trying to reach out to Natasha.

It's no different than talking about anything else people find interesting. To me, it's like a reality show or soap opera. Does all of this matter? No, not really. Does it impact my life in anyway? Nope. But like anything else, this forum is just an outlet for people to discuss a common interest. I don't understand how people drone on and on about lots of other topics, but I don't take the time to troll their forums and spout my opinion about how silly/dumb/stupid/mean/pointless/etc. it is. I just ignore it because it doesn't interest me. It's simple, really. You should try it.

Teapot Tim has been gone for 10 years.... are you living under a rock?

He was on Hot's first morning show called the Hot Morning Mess w/ Mark & Kris. He left right before they got fired and Samy took his place. After M&K got let go and Kane was brought in from Tampa, he stayed with the show.

Yeah, pretty sure the OP was probably making fun of all of the people who come on here and ask "haven't heard from Danni in a while, did something happen to her?" even though she's been gone for over a month and her absence has been discussed extensively. Can't be 100% sure because I wasn't the OP, but I think it's most likely a joke.

I'm gonna disagree with those that think the show is better without Danni. I think it's way too flat and boring. And yes, Rose shouts a bit and I honestly don't think she adds a lot of personality like Danni did. I know there are a lot of Danni haters here but if you look on their social medias, there are hundreds of people like me who stopped listening when Danni left because it's boring now. It's only here that I see a ton of anti-Danni comments (of course you are free to that opinion). I literally listened to every podcast for the last two years and have been a listener since the show started 9-10 years ago but this week was the first week I didn't download the podcast. I've gone back to audio books.
