Class Assignments

I think the general rule of thumb for this is that unless you're at an established school with very little turnover, you shouldn't count on finding out until a few days before (because there will still be kids registering/students who are signed up but leaving for a "better" spot without letting the school know, etc...). These schools don't bother with disseminating lists until they have a firm picture of their student body, which in some cases, won't shape up until a few weeks into the year.

If you go to Oyster or Janney or a similar school where there is little fluctuation, I'd imagine that you already know or are finding out very soon.

This is generally true, although my understanding is that Lafayette doesn't share placements until the weekend before school starts, if not the first day of school.
