Please recommend best real cuban food in Miami!

Any recommendations? Places that are cool for kids would be especially appreciated!

Check out Yambo in Little Havana or La Carreta near Coral Gables.

La Carreta is a chain, and not very good at all.

La Carreta is a chain but it is soooo good- the one on calle 8
Also Sergios in Coral Gables
There is a great lunch place (mostly to go/counter service) on South Beach- Las olas cafe 6th and Euclid

The first two are great for kids

La Carreta all the way!

I grew up in Miami and am Cuban.

Try:

Latin American on 8th street and 57th avenue NW
Versailles

La Carreta is not that great.

Second for Versailles. It's the best.

Versailles is an icon, I can taste the garlic now ...

Versailles all the way - and don't miss the cafecito bar at 11 p.m.

And be sure to hit that big fruit market in Hialeah on Sunday after church- a truly singular experience!

Another vote for Versailles....

The owner of Versailles also owns la carreta. I personally like la caretta better- my 2 yo loves croquetas! Gloria estafon's restaurant on ocean drive is fun if you are on sobe and so is puerto sagua.
