daycare options for one-year old in Adams Morgan?

I am moving to DC next month and am considering what I guess is the eastern edge of Adams Morgan (Kalorama and 17th St). I have an eight month old and will have a nanny till he is about a year old, but after that I would love to put him in daycare. However, every daycare in the area that I have found only takes kids two years and up. And I missing something or is there really nothing in that area? I would love to get some input on this. Thanks!

Hello my name is Laura I'm a childcare provider and I have my own Home daycare center in Washington D.C the reason that you been having trouble finding daycare is because is so much demand for infant spaces the people is been in a waiting list since they became pregnant. I wish I can help you but unfortunately I don't space for an infant until the end of February.

I have an home daycare in Adams Morgan on Lanier Place called Lanier Lullabies. I also do not have a space for a one year old until Jan or Feb. I do have some space for 2 year olds though. We go out everyday to the play ground or zoo. We also attend the library for story time. I provide meals and serve organic milk and yogurt. I have a maximum of 5 children and I have an assistant, so the ratio of child to caregiver is usually 2.5:1. If you have any questions you can call me at 202-288-9135. My name is Julie Lujan.
