Is this the norm for nursery schools? That parents provide the classroom's snack 15 days a year?
Thought it was a little strange for a part-time program that is over $8000 that we are all providing snack and its not inlcuded with the tuition. |
yup. And the kids bring their own lunch. |
I'm not sure if its the standard or not, but I've definitely heard of people whose preschools did it that way. |
Our MoCo kindergarten does it that way too... |
I think it just varies from school to school. My son's preschool provides the snack and at his school last year (a different preschool), we provided snack, but just for him.
Don't sweat it. It's nice to not have to not have to worry about what to pack every morning. |
Personally, I prefer to provide my own snack so that I know what he is eating. |
Yes, we have to. And we're adding it to the list of things that our hefty school fees are not paying for ... ! |
I would prefer it! Don't know if it's standard or not... |
Yes, Northern VA preschool here and definitely you have to provide snacks on schedule and participate in other chores on a schedule as well.
I sat out in my car from 3:00 to 8:00 a.m. to get my daughter into this preschool, so they know I'll do whatever. |
yes - parents bring snack at our school - aidan montessori |
No, we did not have to bring any food at our preschool. Lunch and snacks provided daily. |
Nope. We didn't bring snack to a half day program. It was included in tuition. |
parents do not provide snack at ncrc |
Nor at St. John's but, if your child stays for Kids Workshop (optional 12:30-3), you do have to send them with lunch. |
no- preschools provide their own snacks- we provide lunch- i only saw one preschool (nova here) that did ask that and I thought it was odd and something i';d prefer not to do (this is making snacks for the entire class).. tuition was the same.. odd- but not the reason we didn't send our child there.. |
