My DD (9 months) seems to get 4 or 5 little red bumps on her chin and around her mouth when she eats peas (I think it's the peas, argh, so hard to tell.)
They don't bother her and they go away in a few hours. Is this a sign of a food allergy? Did I read somewhere that a reax to peas is a bad sign for future peanut problems? This will be topic #1 at our 9 month check up next week. Thanks! |
| This is not to freak you out, just our experience: My DD had the same reaction you are describing to peas at around 10 months after a couple of months of eating them with no problems. We thereafter found a number of other foods she is allergic to (eggs, pea/nuts). My advice is to be careful introducing new foods until you have her allergy tested. |
