Leckie or Eagle Academy?

I decided to live on base at Bolling for this 1st year that I'm here. Which school do you recommend between Leckie Elementary and Eagle Academy PCS? My son went to Pre-K4 already. But, unfortunately will have to do it again because of his birthday being in October.

Try AppleTree at Oklahoma Ave (by RFK) they have spots and it's a quality program.

I talked to a mom last year go was deciding between Eagle, Yu Ying, and Inspired Teaching. She seemed impressed with Eagle. Not sure what she decided.

Your son shouldnt have to repeat PreK4 at Eagle, they have a late bday cutoff (or used to). So that's a plus to choosing Eagle.

If your child has completed PreK4, you might want to advocate at any school for placing him at K. Depending on where he completed school (grade school vs a daycare setting), they might honor it.

The only thing I know about Leckie is lots of "Base" kids attend, which might be a bonus for you.

If test scores were truly the barometer for any and all schools, we would be down to an one room school house.

Leckie is a great school. I have two kids there and I live on base. Ive had nothing but a positive experience.

I know the founders of Eagle. Incredible. Don't just look at test scores. I think you find them to be directly related to parental income.

I heard they are obsessed with discipline at Eagle above anything else. My friend would ask her 4 yo how his day was and he' say, "I was on green all day." he never talked about having fun or learning. She disliked the teacher and administration too.
