Food at Dulles airport before security

Are there any food options for dinner at Dulles airport before security? We are going to pick up dh tonight, and it's right around dinner time. Not sure how to handle getting dinner and getting back home and in bed on time to get my dd's up for camp on Friday.

I don't think so. The security escalators are right behind the check-in desks. I think there is one newsstand and that's it.

There are many restaurants nearby, though, within mere feet of toll road exits (particularly the Herndon/Chantilly exit.) Tell me what cuisine you want and I can give you some recommendations.

Harry's Tap Room is outside security.

I think maybe we'll just go to Lucia's in Sterling and then hop on the toll road afterwards. Just thinking of National and how they have a restaurant outside security.
