Hello:
Are there any private schools still accepting applications for 6th grade? |
| Try some of the K-8s. CHDS, Lowell, WES, Burgundy. |
| Might try Norwood, Bullis, Green Acres if you are in MD |
| Or if in VA, Alexandria Country Day, Langley, Browne, and Burgundy |
|
Sheridan in DC
|
| A lot of schools can squeeze one more in if the student is good enough. I suggest calling the schools that interest you. |
| What area? |
| I would def try a k-8 vs a 3-12 or k-12. 6th grade is an entry year, and can be tough to get in, especially at this late date. Worth a call to schools you are interested in though. Lowell, WES, and NPS are probably good bets. |
| NPS ends in 6th grade. |
| I thought they were expanding to include a middle school? No? |

Christ Episcopal School in Rockville has 14 right now we a cap of 18, so they still have space remaining. Give them a call or check them out online, great school! www.ces-rockville.org 301-424-6550

No. The school's mission is to focus on elementary education. There are currently no plans to include a middle school and the school's administration seems pretty adament that the focus will always remain on the earlier years. I would think that many of the K-8 (St. Patrick's, Sheridan, Lowell, WES, Norwood) would have room at 6th grade since that's a year many students leave for a school that goes through 12th. |
