These people are largely apolitical since they have so much money they are immune from whatever nonsense DC imposes on the rest of us.

They are, however, opportunists and will contribute to the side they believe they will personally gain from. So if MAGA are on the upswing, that's where their money goes. When the DNC is on the upswing, that's where their money goes.
