It’s hilarious that the New York Times has a headline complaining that Trump has declared victory, as if he has to wait for the New Times to announce it for him. I’m not a Trump fan at all but normally Harris should be giving a concession speech right now because she has no path to victory. The fact that she won’t is not Trump’s problem nor does Trump need to wait for the New York Times or anyone else to declare him victor. It’s going to be a long four years of the media does not cure itself. This is the part of the reason why Trump won, because the media and democrats just cannot contain their disgust and act professionally. The metaphor about pigs and mud comes to mind here and Democrats should remember that and remember Obama’s mantra about going high.

It’s important to note that it was the Progressive caucus that was the first to rally behind Harris when Biden bowed out and it was the Progressive caucus that pushed for Walz over Shapiro.

Now that moderate Democrats like Baldwin and Slotzkin have been pulled under by the dead weight of Harris, the only people left that represent the party are the Progressives. They are in control now of a much smaller party and have shown no inclination nor ability to build broad coalitions.

This is basically what happened to Labour in the UK once the public got tired of the “nanny state” and what happened to SPD in Germany.

Center left parties destroyed themselves everywhere in Europe over a decade ago. Now they have done the same in the US. Let’s see if a third party rises from the ashes, like the Lib Dems in UK and Greens in Germany.

Agree. In fact it’s this level of hatred that kept me from voting for Harris. I just don’t want it in my life any longer. I do not care about anything other than civility. With that. I believe, we can work together.

And I’m going to be paying VERY careful attention to our team members this next week or so, and making note of any people who seem a little happier or more cheery than normal. Because those people are going to get a very discreet deep dive into their social media presence. And if I find ties to trumpers or evidence of support, I’m going to have the last laugh.
