Why should Arlington “reflect the country”? How would this work? People would be required to publicly pick one of two political leanings — and houses couldn’t be sold to buyers with the wrong lean? Why single out Arlington? And, given NoVa’s history, while you want a “more balanced” reflection of political views, do you have any thoughts on the history of racial discrimination and segregation? Well considering that the majority of Americans did not vote for Trump I don’t see how declining to be impressed by some uggos (inside and out) is some sort of travesty.
