Does Talbots run true to size?

I’m a petite. 5’, 125 lbs and a Petite medium usually works great for me. But I don’t wear tight clothes. There petites are proportioned for shorter arms, legs and waist. Good for basic staples.

Judging from my recent J Crew and Talbots orders, they size pretty similarly. If anything, I had more issues with J Crew running a little bigger. Generally, I’ve had success following the size chart.

Same. Talbot's is not skimpy but I've had larger clothes from J Crew, Anthropologie and others. I think their shirts can run smaller than other items.
