Today was the last day of the season and was supposed to be the day they make up the postponed / rained-out games but the problem is that it was pouring down rain harder than ever this day. The league didn't cancel despite over 75% of the kids not showing up. They should have cancelled, but instead they just kept our money, and pretended like everything was normal despite less than kids showing up and no coaches, when there was supposed to be 40+ (4 teams).
So, I guess they're just going to keep the money and not give a refund despite the fact we were supposed to play two games today and have two practices. Instead, there wasn't even one real game today, because only 10 kids showed up out of 40. The manager of the league, Caleb, said it "wasn't his fault the kids didn't show up", but it was... He cancelled games earlier when it was barely raining, but couldn't cancel this one because there was no time to make it up, but rather than just being honest and refunding the money, they just kept the money and pretended everything was normal. Basically, it's a scam! Pay for 7 games, but only get 6, and no remorse, they just blame the kids for not showing up in pouring down rain to play for two hours in 51 degree weather! What a joke! Save your money folks. |

| We are not in the DC area (NY/NJ). Our experience for our unathletic 8 yo was great! Good instructional drills, enthusiastic coaches who seemed like gym teachers that were experienced at working with kids; parent involvement was encouraged, but not at all required. I imagine the experience may be very different where you are, but worth a shot when you have a kid that has little or no experience on a team. |

LOL!!! You resurrected a 7 year old thread for this complaint?! You paid for 7 games and only got 6! This is for real the stupidest rant Ive ever heard! You sound like youre the worst. Fwiw i9 is great for casual play or intro to new sports. Its not meant for high competition. Ive been pretty impressed with the ease of sign up and value. |

| This organization needs to be shut down immediately! I signed up my daughter for volleyball, today was the first game and they grouped her with kids 4 yrs older than her! Due to lack of sign ups, they could of reached out to me beforehand and explained the situation and given me an option to refund. Then her coach is a 17 yr old minor who let the team decide they were not going to "rotate" for whatever reason, I could not understand. Then when the parents inquired as to why they weren't rotating, she became extremely hostile and began to curse and scream and called the game! When we went to discuss this with the I9 "staff" who were there, the 17 yr old coach's brother came and confronted one of the dad's and began to "defend " his sister's coaching decision. He was also an I9 employee. It was a huge mess, my daughter was in shock, she just wanted to play, but it ended with screaming and tons of profanity amongst the parents by the actual I9 Staff!! It was literally a Jerry Springer Episode, luckily no chairs were thrown! I am so appalled at the lack of professionalism and the horrific incident that transpired, simply because they didn't have a well suited coach. I ask, then why take our money and put us through this!? I was disgusted and disturbed. |

First, I have to say that never write bad reviews but this one is a must…
DONT DO IT - This is a scam organization. They claim they are nationwide but when you have a problem with the local program they showed no responsibility and direct you to the local program director (franchise owner) and with my experience, MeShelle Sterling, the local Mission Viejo CA program director went ghosted on me soon after she got the money for the season. We signed up our 13 years old boy for the basketball program with MeShelle Sterling at the Mission Viejo location (Aliso Viejo) and before I sign him up I reached out to MeShelle to asks if the program was suitable for a kid with no pervious basketball experience. Of course she hypes up the program and we went ahead and signed up. Fire class we noticed there was not set coaches, not organized and there was only four kids in the program. No set drills or any kind of teachings. No program or plan at all. It felt like parents from the neighborhood gathered in the local elementary school for a picnic. Either way I was hoping that our boy will catch interest in basketball but was not happy about the program as MeShelle told me that there are coaches, and each class has one hour of drills and play/position teaching follow by 30 mints of scrimmage play. That was not the case at all. Very disorganized and unprofessional. I must add that she was very professional and responsive to get me to sign up for the 190$ fee for only 6 Saturday classes. HERE COMES THE KICKER…. Due to some personal emergency matters, which is totally understandable, MeShelle was forced to cancel 3rd and 4th class. and noted TBD for the 6th class. Again, things happen in life and it’s understandable. She never followed up with any kind of email or communication regarding the 5th class. I had to reach out and did not receive a respond in time and we apparently missed the 5th class. And last class was a joke too. Coming to the end of the program and asking about the missed classes, Meshelle noted that a refund will be processed for the missed classes. Guess what... we never received a refund... and reached out to her 3 times without getting a response. After calling the corporate office maybe 3 times and a 4th email directly to Mishelle I received a short reply from her noting that a credit was added to our i9sport account... Why is it a credit and not a refund??? This program sucks and we have no intention of rejoining this program again and I would like a refund and not a credit to my i9sport account... No repose of course. Since that it’s been 2 months of emailing Meshelle and calling the corporate office just to be passed back to Meshelle as "she is the program director and its up to her to process a refund or a credit." And She is nowhere to be found. Not surprised… This program is a joke and not professional at all... I would not recommend it and its best to seek another program that is actually useful for your young children. |

| We've had good luck, but with younger kids. Older son did t-ball when he was 3.5 and younger son is doing soccer now at age 3. |

This thread pops up every now and then and always surprises me. Ive had good experiences with i9 in various sports with younger kids in VA.
We haven't done it for years but just signed my 9 year old up for volleyball since its a brand new sport for them and wanted to start with something casual. |

This was our first time with I9 organization and definitely DON’T recommend them.
Going to keep it very brief; they are incompetent and it needs LOTS of improvement. They changed rules in just about EVERY game we played. The referees were clueless with volleyball rules and the score keeper weren’t very distracted and not keeping score properly. We will NEVER be involved with that organization! |

What did expect from a three year old class. Even better is when bats, balls, hoops are introduced at home and parents playing catch with their preschooler at home. |

| We did i9 for basketball. It was fine, I thought it was an easy way to introduce your kid to a sport. |

| My tween did a volleyball clinic which was perfectly fine and priced similarly to other options. It was organized and friendly. |
