I am not sure why someone would revive this thread, but I want to say that I read it in 2015 and have not purchased a head of broccoli since.

Found a black widow in grapes once. We kept it in a jar and fed it flies for weeks.

^^ at the time my nephew was dating the daughter of a woman who was a logistics person for a food chain. Apparently black windows and tarantulas are a common sight in the warehouse, they hitchhike on shipments. I'd really like to score a tarantula.
