This annoying seller wants a bidding war.

Your post is so rude. Do you understand that people have life circumstances you may know nothing about? They may need to sell quickly. Don't try to dox sellers like that online unless they truly do something shady.

If anything they're actually just amplifying the listing and drumming up interest hence the post earlier about something seeming off about this entirely.

That's a great flat backyard and such a fun neighborhood. It's where I spent my first seven years. Also it's not near a major road.

I don't think you know what the word "snob" means.

You are jealous.

And entitled. I'm sensing entitlement as well.

You’re on a main road, have a house with a frustrating layout and needing a lot of updating, and still think people should fight over your house - please have you bid by… 🙄 You’re a snob.

The house is on a side street and not on a major thoroughfare. Jackson Street is famous for the halloween and christmas displays. If you buy on this street you would need to invest in going all out for the Halloween decorations.

Ok I was going to put in an offer but now I’m not. This forced participation and secret judging sounds awful.

Ok?

Yeah I was going to put in an offer but now I’m so offended I’m going to sit this one out and pout. Life is so unfair. I deserve a nice house without all this striving and stress.

Looked at this house when it sold in 2024. New owners didn’t put a dime in based on the new pics and now want a heck of a lot more money.

It's definitely not the type of house I'd want for myself. That said, I really can't imagine that it's having this much of an issue selling. Their time limit seems to make sense to me.

It looks like they put in HVAC system(s) because the 2024 listing had at least one window unit showing. They also redid the powder room but, and I'm probably the odd one out on this, I liked the old-school black and yellow tiles with the old-school sink and faucet handles better. That attic is wild.

PP again. "Numerous improvements include a new central HVAC (main and lower), new windows, new plumbing, and three completely renovated bathrooms." I wouldn't say the new owners "didn't put a dime in." More interesting is that they're selling less than 2 years after buying it and putting all that work in. Wonder what happened.

2024 sale at a high price, sold above list and if the 2026 sale is 200k or more higher I bet by 2028 this house will have high property taxes to add insult the injury to buyer

This. Having a set time for bids due is pretty standard in this area. Though it’s usually the Tuesday after the first weekend. Sunday morning is a pretty tight timeline.

They probably already have an offer in hand already.

Agree, this sounds like they have an offer that expires on Sunday and want to see if they get any others. There’s a lot to like about the house even though it isn’t perfect.

Looks like a relocation for work

This is my neighborhood and I drive by that house all the time. Location is insanely competitive, they are on a great street, and inventory under $2m is not abundant. So an offer deadline very normal. We recently bought and I appreciated the deadlines because that meant we didn’t need to race to get something in Thurs/Fri/Sat for a Thursday listing. Sunday is normal.
