Reading this thread has made me realize that I really don’t like C names as a whole. There are only 2 names that I actually like out of this entire list and a 3rd one that is just ok. |
+1. Camille is a beautiful name. |
Which ones? |

+1 for
Cora Camille Caroline FWIW, my mom's name is Carol and we would not have used that if we'd had another girl. We planned to use Caroline in her honor instead (ended up with a boy). |
| Another vote for Camille. |

Candace. It is lovely and I think candy as a nickname is the greatest (despite all the people who will say "stripper name"). Iggy Pop's Candy (with Kate Pierson!) is one of my all time fav songs. https://youtu.be/6bLOjmY--TA?si=MU6NSYag2Wz2hryf

When I was in school (not that long ago as I’m in my early 20s), there was a popular mean girl named Caroline that would sarcastically call herself Carol. Her friend group would do it too. They thought it was so hysterical and did it from middle school until we graduated from high school. That is now all that I can think of when I hear those names.
Needless to say, I can’t stand both Carol and Caroline. |
It’s really not. She could be trying to name her kid Paislygh or Dior or something. |

Carol makes me think of old people like Carol Burns. Also to much like Karen.
Candice sounds like a stripper name, nickname Candy. Camilla makes me think of King Charles affair partner and the reason Princess Diana is dead. You obviously want a “C” name. There are many other lovely choices. Cassidy Cora Caroline Carolyn Cecilia Carmen Catelyn Chloe Cassandra |
I, too, have encountered an awful Caroline. You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to name my daughter that. |
| Diana |
The ones that I’ve bolded are nice. |
| I like the idea of Cosette or Cosima with the nickname Coco. |
| I love the name Camilla. I know one from Sweden and one from Puerto Rico. |

Carol is a family name, so I’ve always loved it! I used it as a middle name for my daughter. It’s not trendy right now, which is a plus.
Camilla is also a good name. I’ve known a few Camillas and in real life, there’s really no confusion with King Charles’ wife. |
