Mold? TOo close to purple line? What were they thinking building the line that close, it was always then the plan to close ssims and sces? |
The idea that these schools are too close to public transportation is utterly ridiculous. As others have pointed out, SSIMS and SCES are in walkable neighborhoods and close to downtown. We need them where they are. |

Taylor's proposal for "Approval of a Condensed Process for School Closure Procedures for Silver Spring International Middle School" is to be voted on by the board on Thursday:
https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/mcpsmd/Board.nsf/files/DP6QG868D2AD/$file/Apprv%20Process%20Closure%20Procedures%20Silver%20Spring%20Intl%20MS.pdf |
Where is the actual condensed schedule he is proposing? |
Good question! |
Whatever TF they want it to be, seems like. |
Wouldn't the board have to make a decision on whether to close SSIMS by January, before Taylor submits his recommended boundary option? |
Sounds like hearings in January? |
Superintendent recommendation on boundaries is the first week of February and the final Board vote is in March. I also would not be surprised if the Superintendent presents a backup boundary option for if they don't close SSIMS. |
I would love to ask Taylor why the purple line would make SSIMS unsafe while somehow the Silver Spring public library has a built-in purple line stop along its entire front entryway. |
|
He has stopped citing the PL on the decision (see resolution) bc it has been accurately called out as total and utter bullsh**
He is such a gaslighter. |
I don't think it's lack of inclusion in the resolution means he won't continue to use it as a talking point. |
