Here is Maryland's. It mentions MissingMoney.org on it. You can look on MissingMoney and Google the state site for yourself.

I have done this as an executor

depends on estate

DC was a pain IMO. Probably would not bother for 300 dollars.

Other states were easier.

We had a several thousand dollars returned to us from Virginia. I don't recall why but it was some sort of unclaimed difference in payment from years prior. And I don't remember it being difficult. In fact, I think they just sent a check.

It's super simple, just make sure you're visiting a legit site and not a scammer. Ask someone to check your site.
