Tell me your state and I'll find you the local government version. Here is Maryland's. It mentions MissingMoney.org on it. You can look on MissingMoney and Google the state site for yourself. https://www.unclaimed-property.marylandcomptroller.gov/ |
| Sorry, MissingMoney.com |

I have done this as an executor
depends on estate DC was a pain IMO. Probably would not bother for 300 dollars. Other states were easier. |
who was the executor of his estate? I claimed them for my dad as his executor |
22:14, 17, and the one after that are me and I am a mom in a Midwest state who got money from NYS and just found out my husband's relatives have dribs and drags of funds all over the place. I am many things but I am not a sock puppet or a scammer. |
Thank you! Our bank wrongfully confiscated our security deposit box 17 years ago and it’s listed so I filed a claim. 🙏🏻 |
| I received a few hundred bucks. It took FOREVER though. |
Virginia is really difficult and costly. They want to keep your money and so they put up many obstacles and fees. They have our money and we just gave up. |
I didn't find that to be the case. |
Me either. What’s with all of these people who are willing to walk away and leave money on the table? |
We had a several thousand dollars returned to us from Virginia. I don't recall why but it was some sort of unclaimed difference in payment from years prior. And I don't remember it being difficult. In fact, I think they just sent a check. |
The only entry for me says "under $10" and my time is worth more than that. |
| It's super simple, just make sure you're visiting a legit site and not a scammer. Ask someone to check your site. |
