| St. Andrew's is a good option. The class size is around 100 kids with academic classes somewhere around 15-20 kids on average. |
St. Andrew's does nothing for ADHD students. |

You are quite incorrect. Perhaps they did not do what works best for your ADHD kid, but they do have accommodations for ADHD. |
I'd concur that Field is very disorganized. Sure, there still may be ADHD kids there - but I think you can do better elsewhere. |

Burke Good Counsel McLean St Andrews St Johns in alpha (not rank) order Go visit and see what feels right for her and for you. I purposely left off Field. I didn't include all-girls schools because I am not familiar with those schools. I also didn't include Sandy Springs (which I might have included in the past) because, even if they end up ok, I personally wouldn't jump into that mix right now. |
Why did you leave off Field? |
Best answer. |
Because I am also 11:10 above and agree with pps that Field is disorganized. These other options are better. |
I have an ADHD child at Field, they've been very accommodating and supportive. Cant compare to other schools since we are not there. |
| Maybe consider the schedules of the different schools. In HS, some have block schedules with 75 minute classes and only half the classes one day and the other half the next; some have more MS schedules with eight 55 minute periods/day. Classes every other day means homework is not assigned one day and due the next which could be a pro or con depending on your child. |
I would agree; the teachers are very ill-prepared to deal with a bright child with ADHD. Also, some of the classes have 20 students in them, so they have no time to do anything but slog on with the class. It isn't much different than an average public school. |
