Coworker floral smell

We all believed it was some kind of oil he applied everywhere or mixed with everything- ugh.

I guess if you're in healthcare, it's normal, but you're smelling chemicals much stronger than perfume all day. Also, in an office it's perfectly normal and fine to wear some cologne/perfume.

Stop trying to make your preferences everyone's problems by calling it allergies.

This person may be trying to hide “dead body smell” to avoid suspicion.

You should call the police then contact H.R. who will interrogate thoroughly to get to the bottom of it.

If applicable, contact his H.O.A. and file a complaint.

You don't have to have allergies to find these smells offensive. They smell sickening and cheap. If you don't think people should be imposing their preferences on others then don't wear such strong smells that it grosses others out.

I actually do. Pet and pollen. I just don't believe anyone who says that they have such an extreme allergic reaction to someone 10 feet away. Sorry.

NP. I've always gotten terrible migraines from stuff like perfume, scented candles and scented lotions going back to my 20s. I was in a chorus which didn't allow scented products because they are known to cause problems for some people. Natural smells don't bother me. It's something about the chemicals. I've never spoken to anyone about it except family members, but you sound like a real ass. I doubt anyone can work with you.

I want to see actual scientific proof that perfumes/cologne CAUSE migraines. Please post your sources.

One of my kids had bad asthma when little and the pediatrician gave us a list of possible triggers. Scented products and perfumes were on the list right alongside cigarettes.
