Yeah, that wasn't a good sign for anyone over the age of 24 or so. Sounds like he had a death wish.

It’s not even the risk factor. It’s just such a dumb cliche d$ckish tourist thing to do. Like kissing the Blarney Stone but instead of being a cute stupid quaint cliche tourist thing, it’s a drunk lax bro version of it in which a bunch of people who know nothing of the history or culture of La corrida (or the modern debate over its ethics) basically ruin a town.
I would say this is a much bigger red flag that doing something else with some risk (like F1 racing or extreme adventure sports).

Usually men (and women) grow out of these high risk bro things before they decide to have kids.

For men doing the running of the bulls is a midlife crisis thing. Perfectly illustrated in the Billy Crystal movie City Slickers.

Wait until you see what happens to animals in China/Japan.

A man under 40 is still basically a teenager boy. It takes much longer for boys/men to mature, both emotionally and physically.

Men also age more slowly, so a 40 year old man is about like a 25 year old woman in many regards.
