Which parent goes to preschool birthday parties?

When does this become one parent? At my daughter's 2nd birthday everyone came with two and typically sibling as well ( playground party)- assumed the same for her upcoming 3rd bday ( and has been like this for the ones we've attended, which are always in a yard)

We have an only also and I’d like both parents to go but assume only one is invited to the school friends’ parties.

In my family it’s DH most of the time. He also does parent/teacher conferences. I’m typically the one to stay home with the other kids

We are in the thick of preschool whole-class parties. Generally, if it’s held at an event venue where the hosts are paying per person, it’s understood that you send one parent and one child. We usually rotate whose turn it is. If it’s a park party or held at someone’s house, siblings are almost always invited/expected and both parents attend (for the whole class). In this age group, siblings are usually infants/toddlers that can’t be left alone or friends with each other.
