It is simple. There were no fat concentration camp victims. Calorie restriction works all the time, every time. |
+1 Increasing the dose helped me through a stall. I then moved back down. Maintaining. Miracle drug. Good luck! |
DP. Actually, not everyone loves food, pp. There are people who are in the "food is fuel" type who really just eat because they need to. I know a few of them and they will just eat whatever is available because they want to get on with whatever else they are doing. |
This is such a great and healthy attitude. |
+1. I am on 5 mg and still losing less than a pound a week. The food noise is back and I have been feeling like snacking so that means I need to titrate up to 7.5. I will have been on 5 mg for three months when I go up which I am comfortable with. |
Therapy Increased Dose Exercise Food in moderation Good Luck OP!!! You got this... |
It used to work for me for two years and then stopped. Even at the highest dose, there is 0 appetite suppression or side effects now. I think the body builds a tolerance. This is an issue a lot of people I think will experience but haven't yet. |
You are losing weight. Get yourself a therapist, you clearly have mental health issues. Increase your dosage. |
WTF is wrong with you???? |
So have you gained all the weight back? |
People acting like "cutting calories doesn't work". Uh, it works 100% of the time. Just tired of people lying or overcomplicating the energy-intake portion of this equation. It is simple but not easy to push the cake away. |
DP That is what I do, but I am still overweight. It is just who I am. Big heavy bones with a decent amount of muscle, long torso and short neck will do it. |
5 lbs. a month is a healthy rate of loss. Keep it up and you’ll reach your goal. DH lost a lot of weight rapidly (no drugs) a few years ago. He gained it all back and more. Now he has health problems that are really difficult to treat.
I think slower is a better way to go for most people but it takes patience. Good luck. |
You don't have to be fat! You can be regular sized! There is an actual science behind it. Obesity isn't a psychological thing or about "calories in, calories out" and exercising -- it's all about insulin resistance. If you can get into ketosis by cutting out carbohydrates and doing intermittent fasting, your insulin level will drop and your body will burn off the spare fat over time. There was a guy in Scotland who fasted 381 days and lost hundreds of pounds. For real! Google it! The Obesity Code by Jason Fung does a really good job explaining this process, and also the books by Gary Taubes. These are all available at the library and there are also tons of podcasts and YouTube videos about this. |
The fact that you would talk about concentration camps and weight loss in the same sentence is just sick. There is something wrong with you, in addition to the fact that you are clearly a huge B. |
